PASCO Corporation provides SPOT 6/7 Satellite Image data under a contract with the Airbus DS Geo SA. The data is used in disaster prevention planning and facility management, as well as in land management, urban planning, agriculture and forestry.
DIAS archives this SPOT 6/7 Satellite Image data (hereinafter referred to "DIAS/SPOT data") that only covers the territory and territorial waters of Japan and that more than one year have passed after acquisition. More data that meets this condition will be added.
Since you can use this DIAS/SPOT data only in the DIAS analysis environment, both "Application for DIAS Analysis Environment" and "Application for DIAS/SPOT Data Use" described below must be approved. Please contact the DIAS Secretariat for more information.
(1) "Application for DIAS Analysis Environment"
Please apply for DIAS Analysis Environment following the designated procedures. We review the content of application and will inform you the result. You will have a new account if you don't have it yet.
(2) "Application for DIAS/SPOT Data Use"
Please fill the application form for DIAS/SPOT Data Use (both in Japanese/English) and send it to the DIAS secretariat. We review the content of application and will inform you the result. When approved, you can access the data by signing the agreement of use.
The use of DIAS/SPOT data is limited to the conditions and purposes set forth in the "Terms of Data Use" below. If you with to use the data for other purposed, please consider to purchase the data and contact the below.

You are allowed to use DIAS/SPOT data under the following conditions;
(1) Limited to only the new research and development purpose related to remote sensing. Use for the followin purposes is not allowed;
- commercial use,
- creation of training data or its model for AI/ML,
- demonstration of algorithms, models and so on without novelty,
- demonstration of algorithms, models and so on in research and development with sufficient budget.
(2) Use only on the DIAS. You shall not download DIAS/SPOT data. However, you are allowed only to download analysis results that is impossible to be restored to an archived or equivalent image (e.g. shapefiles, or databases from which changes are extracted). In addition you are not allowed to use FTP in any circumstances.
(3) We may terminate the provision of data without notice.
(4) Use by organizations and companies that already offer social implementations and services and can secure research budgets, etc. is not allowed.
In the case user shares the original or derivative works, or results from this data with a third party, indicate the source of data as designated for each data, and include the acknowledgement.
