7. DATASET OVERVIEW

7.1 Abstract

In most of developing countries resident registration system is absent, and therefore essential information on residents for research is often unavailable. We, research team of Grene-Ecohealth, have developed Health and Demographic Surveillance System (HDSS) to capture and storage information on local people in Xepon and Lahanam regions in Laos. The dataset includes information of birth, death, migration, and health status, and these are being consistently updated several times per year.
